The Nevada Gaming Control Board released figures showing that $154.7 million was wagered in Nevada’s 190 sports books on this year's Super Bowl.
Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairwoman Sandra D. Morgan said, "unaudited figures show a sports book win of $18,774,148 was recorded on wagers totaling $154,679,241. This resulted in a hold percentage of 12.1%."
In New Jersey, $54.2 million was wagered, surpassing the $34.8 million bet last year.
Mississippi saw $6.7 million in bets, Rhode Island $5.5 million, New Hampshire $2.3 million, Delaware $2.1 million and Oregon $2 million.
Bettors risked money on everything from the coin toss at the start of the game to the color of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach.
