Scientists have discovered a new antibiotic that's effective against superbugs that are resistant to other drugs. It's called Teixobactin and so far it's only been tested in mice. Scientists hope to start testing on people in two years.. eventually using the drug to treat tough infections including MRSA and tuberculosis.

And research in JAMA Psychiatry finds women suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder are nearly twice as likely to develop type 2 diabetes. The study says antidepressants and weight gain are part of the cause for the increased risk. It's estimated that one out of nine women will have PTSD at some point in their lives - twice the rate of men.
