It's Father’s Day weekend, and we have some great events to take dear old dad! From BBQ and Brews, to concerts or cooling off at the pool, it's time for Things 2 Do!
Let’s start out with three of dad's favorite things...BBQ, Brews and Blues! With microbrew tasting, all the delicious barbecued meats you could ask for and live music from War, Berlin, Blues Monsters and many more, it's sure to be a Father’s Day he won’t soon forget! The party takes over Virginia Street from 6th to 2nd Streets Friday and Saturday!
And what better way to celebrate pop's than with a powwow! Enjoy a free family friendly experience showcasing American Indian heritage, history and pride with more than 200 dancers, 30 arts and crafts vendors and Indian tacos! All that and a 5k color fun run! That's Friday and Saturday at the Indian Commission in Carson City.
“Red solo cup fill me up, let's have a party!” That’s right, legendary country musician Toby Keith is coming to town! From that #1 hit of what he should have been...a cowboy, to his new album 35 mph town, Keith will be bringing all the power and emotion to the show! That's Saturday starting a 7 at the Sparks Nugget Resort Casino!
And to finish off, how about something to cool you down? Sip some wine at the pool while enjoying some amazing locally raised pork dishes at the GSR’s Pigs and Pinot! With various tasting stations, each with a different cuisine to savor! The fun starts poolside at 7pm Saturday night at the GRS.
