Things 2 Do This Weekend!

From hot rods in August, to Bacon, Bourbon and Brews, to 98 Degrees....and not the temperature! We have the cure for the weekend blues in this week's Things 2 Do!

Hot August Nights technically doesn't start until Monday, but if you need your classic car fix now, then Virginia City is the place to be! You could possibly win a car, enjoy the poker walk, free live entertainment, and a 50/50 raffle! But be sure to stick around for the big event with more than 400 classic cars!

Show and Shine all day, they get to cruise their cars up and down the street in old Downtown Historic Virginia City,” said Mike Whan, Executive Director with the Hot August Nights.

The pre-kickoff event is this Friday and Saturday in Virginia City! For more information, you can click here.

And separate from Hot August Nights, Bonanza Casino in Reno is also holding its 11th annual Classic Pre-Kickoff Party! This free show and shine boasts live entertainment, trophies and prizes, food trucks and of course some of the hottest classic cars in northern Nevada! That's Sunday from 2pm to 6 at the Bonanza Casino. For more information, you can click here.

The sunshine after the rain, and the cure against the fear and the pain this weekend is a steady temperature of 98 Degrees! Bringing back all of their greatest hits, you will be taken back to the 90's! Thats at the Silver Legacy Saturday at 8. For more information, you can click here.

And if you like blasts from the past, then you will love this one! The Psychedelic Furs, a popular 80's and 90's UK alternative rock band is coming down from "heaven" to the GSR this Saturday! But that's not all, they are being joined by James. For more information, you can click here.

And to finish it off, we have Bacon...Bourbon...and Brews...as if that was not enough, this event will feature live music, activities and a chance to meet your favorite morning team! It's all to support CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada, so youre eating bacon for a good cause!  That's Friday starting at 5 at Wingfield Park! For more information, you can click here.
