If you saw a strange light in the sky Sunday night, you're not the only one.

A Space X Falcon 9 rocket was set to take off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California around 7:21 p.m. The rocket boosted an Argentine environmental satellite into orbit.

The Air Force warned southern California area residents to expect unfamiliar sonic booms, meanwhile in Reno rays of light lit up the night sky.
