The Atlantis Steakhouse is listed in this years Open Table list of 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America.

"It's an old school Steakhouse," said Executive Chef Dennis Houge.  "We still do the table side thing; Steak Diane and flambes."

It's a favorite for special occasions or just the occasional night out.

"We're out to celebrate a date night," said Renee McGinnes.  "Just a night out to get away from our kids and work and just to wind down together."

It's a place long known for its fine fare.

"We have the vintage wine collection, all our steaks are prime grade," Houge said.

And know for its unique decor.

"I love the ambiance," McGinnes said.  "I think the restaurant is beautiful, the service is great, they always make me feel special."

"We've  lived in Southern California and Northern California and we think it's the best restaurant of all these areas," said Diane Marino.

That's why the regulars weren't surprised to see it on the most romantic list.

I think it's a recognition that is well deserved," said John McGinnes.  "Consistency is always the name of the game and they're always on top of it always improving as well, so it's a great place to come and a very special place to bring your significant other."

And it's always a favorite for Valentine's Day.

"We'll probably be booked out pretty soon but a lot of people come the day before and the day after Valentine's Day," Houge said.  "It's a fun day and I think this is the most romantic restaurant in Reno."

Here, there are  a lot of familiar faces.

"It's personal I feel like they really know us, in fact I would say they really know us we're here enough," said Paul Marino.  "Everyone is like old friends.  They treat us like we belong here, like we're royalty.  It's wonderful."

And there's always something to offer - even for the most discerning guests.

"I bring my wife here," Houge said.
