The City of Reno is changing the language of its zoning code - and wants your feedback.

This draft of the City's changes includes language on the proposed set of zoning districts, the land use - allowed in those districts and the standards that apply to the land uses.

The City says these codes outline what can be built in Reno and where.

The City is hosting a series of open houses this month to give the public an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes - and offer input.

The first open house is Tuesday at McKinley Arts & Culture Center at 925 Riverside at 6 p.m.

The second open house is September 24th also at McKinley Arts & Culture Center at 6 p.m.

And the third open house is September 30th at the Neil Road Recreation Center at 3925 Neil Road, also at 6 p.m.

There's also an online tool where you can leave your feedback. The public is also welcome to send input via email to CodeUpdate@Reno.Gov.

The City plans to release draft language for citywide development standards and procedures in the coming months. The public will have similar opportunities to get involved and provide input.
