Alpine County deputies arrested a man for attempted murder on Tuesday.
On Sunday, the Sheriff's Office was called to a medical emergency at the Condo Bears Condo where a victim had been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators found they were the victim of a brutal assault.
Deputies arrested Jordan James Gaestel after interviewing him on Tuesday.
He was booked into the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and mayhem.
The victim remains in critical condition.
