UPDATE - OCTOBER 21, 2024:

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) based on new information gathered by Texas Rangers in the 2018 disappearance of Caitlin Denison of Reno has them seeking the public's help in solving this case.

According to Texas DPS they have a renewed interest in this case and feel that the public may have key information that can help them solve this case.

Texas DPS says that on January 9, 2018, Denison met a male subject, and then, together, they traveled from Reno to Midland, TX.

They say the identified male is known to have worked as a truck driver in the Permian Basin Oil Industry. It is believed Denison stayed with the male in his RV, which may have been parked in West Odessa.

Texas DPS says the following day, on January 10, 2018, the RV was moved to a location in Midland south of IH-20/Loop 250. That same day, Denison advised family and friends that she was at the Wal-Mart at 4517 N. Midland Drive in Midland with the male subject but was “afraid for her life”.

They say it is believed the pair visited the Domino’s Pizza on Linda Avenue in Odessa and then went to Rick’s Cabaret in an attempt to find Denison employment. That is the last day Denison had contact with any of her family and friends.

Texas DPS says that Denison was last seen in the following Ford F250 pickup truck and they are hoping that with this new information and pictures someone may have seen something or might have information to help them in their investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY - AUGUST 30, 2018:

Authorities in Texas say they've found a woman who was captured on video ringing a doorbell in the middle of the night, her wrists shackled in what appeared to be broken restraints. Her identity is being withheld for now as a domestic violence victim, police said.

Lt. Scott Spencer of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says the 32-year-old woman is safe with family out of state. He also says deputies found her 49-year-old boyfriend dead Wednesday morning at a house in a subdivision 46 miles north of Houston. Spencer says he had made suicidal comments in a call to the sheriff's office and had died of a single gunshot wound.

Spencer said during a news conference the boyfriend left a suicide note that helped authorities identify the woman, CBS Houston affiliate KHOU-TV reports.

Investigators determined that his girlfriend was the barefoot young woman seen in a nearby resident's security video ringing the doorbell early Friday while wearing a T-shirt and wrist restraints.

It is still unclear why she was ringing doorbells but detectives are working to interview the woman, who they believe to be from the Dallas area, KHOU-TV reports.

Police originally thought she may have been a young woman missing from Reno who was reported missing in Texas this past January.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Caitlin Marie Denison was last seen on in Midland Texas on January 10, 2018.

She was 19 years old when reported missing, but turned 20 on August 7th. She is a white female, 5'05", 120 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes and a petite build.

She was last seen wearing a fur vest over a black shirt, black leggings with braiding down the sides of the legs and furry boots.

She has a mole on left cheek below her lips, a tattoo of the eye of Horus on her wrist, a tattoo on her left knuckle of the word "alien" and the letter "M", a tattoo of her right forearm of a libra scale, two piercings on her nose (one on each side), a piercing in her bottom lip, a tongue piercing and a medusa piercing. She also has scars on her legs and arms.

Denison flew to Texas from Reno with an unknown adult male who lives in Midland Texas.
