Steven Kroll and Ron Code have been long time pass holders at Northstar, but they say recent parking fee changes have hurt their skiing experience.
“The fact that they sold these tickets knowing they were going to change this fundamental aspect of the skiing experience without telling us and indeed not telling us just as they were opening it, that to me constitutes a false statement upon which they expected consumers to rely,” says Kroll.
According to the resort, the changes would improve traffic and parking congestion, but the pass holders say, that is a breach of contract.
“This was a renewal, every year I reviewed it, which means you would get again the same things I had and that was not going to happen this time” says Kroll.
Northstar claims they made the change to improve traffic congestion in the area, improving guests’ experience. The parking fees are between $10 and $20 daily Monday through Friday and $20 to $40 on the weekends depending on how close you park. There are still free parking options further from the resort.
