Food Truck Friday Not Returning Until Phase 4

Organizers of the Food Truck Friday event made an announcement on Thursday regarding the event.

In the announcement they said that Food Truck Friday's will not be returning until Phase 4 of the State's reopening.

"Thank you for being a fan of Food Truck Friday. We miss you! We miss putting on the best Friday night community event in Northern Nevada. Unfortunately, our business is not able to open. We are really bummed for the 80 local family owned food, dessert and beverage businesses we are not able to host and support weekly. We are recognized as a non-essential business, yet we are highly regulated. We have been told by the City of Reno we might be able to open when the Governor of Nevada moves our State to COVID-19 Phase 4 reopening. Until then, we are not allowed to operate Food Truck Friday. Food Truck Friday is a large gathering community event with no way to regulate small crowds under 50 people with social distancing. We really hope the Governor moves to Phase 4 reopening by August 1 so we can at least host Food Truck Friday in August. Stay tuned. We are trying to find a way to open.

Earlier in March the Food Truck Friday Facebook page made a post naming all of the food trucks involved in the event and encouraging the community to support them.
