Authorities have identified human remains found near a hiking trail in Nevada City from last March.
The California Department of Justice has identified the remains as 55-year-old Aaran Sloan Taylor who was found off a hiking trail near the South Yuba Bridge on March 25, 2025.
The sheriff's office says Taylor was known to frequent the Miner’s Trail area of Nevada City.
They say the official cause of death remains pending the final autopsy report but is not believed to be a suspicious death.
