National Trails Day

Summer is right around the corner, and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) along with the League to Save Lake Tahoe (League) is asking for volunteers of all ages to help maintain a portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Volunteers will be conducting trail maintenance and litter clean-up on the Tahoe Rim Trail walking paths through Tahoe City to Commons Beach.

You can choose to help the cause in one of two ways, either by choosing to work with the TRTA doing trail maintenance or with the League doing litter clean up or both.

Beginning the morning of Saturday, June 1, volunteers will meet at the 64-acre trailhead in Tahoe City, CA. To view the map, CLICK HERE.

The schedule for the day is:

  • 8:30 am: Sign in, enjoy coffee and donuts.
  • 9:00 am: Trail work and litter cleanup will commence, north on the Tahoe Rim Trail from 64 acres, at the pathway at Commons Beach.

As a thank you, all volunteers are invited to attend an after-party celebration where you can enter a raffle and food and drinks will be served.

The after party is being held at 1:30 p.m., following the clean-up, at the Tahoe National Brewing Co. Taproom, located at 850 N. Lake Blvd. #21, Tahoe City, CA. To see the map, CLICK HERE.
