Snowy conditions are causing slick roads and bringing chain controls across the Sierra on Wednesday night, while wind restrictions are in place through Washoe Valley.
Chain controls are currently in place for portions of I-80 and Mt. Rose Highway.
There are also chain controls on U.S. 50 and Kingsbury Grade.
State Route 89 and State Route 88 in California also have chain controls in place, as does State Route 267.
Vehicles over nine feet are prohibited on I-580 in Washoe Valley due to high winds.
