RENO

Grand Sierra Resort Fireworks & BBQ Pool Party – Grand Sierra Resort hosts its annual “Celebrate Freedom” event with a fireworks show over the lake at 9:15 p.m.

The Pool opens at 11 a.m., and a BBQ with drinks begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under; hotel guests get in free.

Additional free viewing is available from the parking lot, space permitting.

SPARKS

Star-Spangled Sparks - The event begins at 4 p.m. at the Nugget Casino Resort.

Attendees can expect live music, craft and retail booths, food vendors, and free parking.

The fireworks show will launch from the Nugget hotel tower at approximately 9:45 p.m. Admission is free.

Bring blankets or chairs and join the community for this free event.

Free park-and-ride shuttles available from two locations in Reno and Sparks.

Carson City

Carson City Fireworks Show – Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. from Eagle Valley Golf Course.

Virginia City

Fourth of July on the Comstock – Virginia City celebrates Independence Day with a full day of patriotic festivities from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The red, white and blue, decorated streets set the scene for a noon parade featuring candy tosses, classic cars, first responders, military groups and more.

At 6 p.m., David John & the Comstock Cowboys perform a free concert at the Bucket of Blood parking lot, followed by a fireworks show at dusk over the historic mountain town.

Fallon

Fallon Fourth of July Parade & Fireworks –Fallon kicks off Independence Day with a 10 a.m. parade through downtown, hosted by the Fallon Chamber, Churchill County, and the City of Fallon.

Groups are invited to decorate cars, trailers, ATVs, or horses to participate (registration required online).

Alongside the parade, enjoy a block party on Maine Street, bed races, a pie baking contest, window decorating contest, and more activities throughout the day. Fireworks cap off the evening.

Fernley

Fernley Fourth of July Celebration – A long-running tradition for more than 50 years, Fernley’s celebration begins with a pancake breakfast hosted by Fernley Masonic Lodge #34, followed by a Main Street parade, classic car show, and an afternoon and evening of family fun at Out of Town Park. Fireworks close out the night.

Genoa

Genoa Americana Celebration – Events begin at 10:25 a.m. with the ringing of the historic Genoa Courthouse bell.

A children’s and pet parade follows at 10:30 a.m. along Main Street; participants should gather at Genoa Park by 10 a.m. (leashed pets only; no motorized vehicles).

After the parade, kids' games will be held at Mormon Station State Historic Park.

Live music in the park starts at 11:30 a.m. with the Sagebrush Rebels, followed by the Carson Chandler Band at 1:15 p.m.

A Color Guard presentation takes place at 3:30 p.m., leading into a concert by the Carson City Symphony, Carson Chamber Singers, and guest vocalist Monique de Haviland, ending at 5:15 p.m.

The Courthouse Museum will be open with free admission for the day.

Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets (setup not allowed before 8 a.m.). All activities are free. More details at genoanevada.org.

WINNEMUCCA

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

Lights on the Lake Fireworks – The American Pyrotechnics Association rates South Shore’s spectacular Fourth of July fireworks celebration one of the top five displays in the nation.

A fireworks show is scheduled for 9:45 p.m., viewable from various spots in town. Exclusive lawn access at Edgewood Tahoe Beach is available to resort guests only. The fireworks are visible from all over town.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE

City of South Lake Tahoe 4th of July Celebration10th Annual Fourth of July Parade – The parade begins at 9 a.m. along Highway 50, running from Ski Run Boulevard to Al Tahoe Boulevard. The 2025 theme, “10 Years of Tahoe Spirit,” celebrates a decade of community participation. More than 50 entries and over 100 vehicles are expected, including classic cars, performers, local groups, and nonprofits.

Traffic information:

  • Highway 50 westbound closes at 8:30 a.m. between Ski Run Blvd and Al Tahoe Blvd.

  • Eastbound lanes remain open with detours available via Pioneer Trail.

  • Ski Run Blvd closes at 7:30 a.m. and reopens by 9:30 a.m.

  • Intersecting side streets reopen after the parade ends around 11:30 a.m.

NORTH LAKE TAHOE

Incline Village / Crystal Bay

Incline Village Red, White & Tahoe Blue – A full weekend of events July 2–4. On July 4, enjoy a pancake breakfast in the morning and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Incline Beach.

Other highlights include a kid's parade, ice cream contest, and free BBQ.

Tahoe City

Tahoe City Fourth of July & Drone Show – The 77th annual celebration features family-friendly activities throughout town, including a fun zone at Heritage Plaza, live entertainment, and a drone and fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. off Commons Beach.

Free shuttle service will run from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Truckee

Truckee Independence Day Events – Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. at Fire Station 92, followed by the Firecracker Mile at 9:45 a.m. and a downtown parade from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The West End Beach celebration and evening fireworks at Donner Lake (starting around 9:30 p.m.) are open to Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District residents, but fireworks are viewable from other locations around the lake and nearby trails.

Great American Craft Fair – Held at Truckee River Regional Park, featuring over 100 artisan vendors, live music, and food. Admission is free.
