Jacky Rosen has won the Democratic Party nomination for U.S. Senate for the state of Nevada, the Associated Press reports.
“Nevadans know my record of working across party lines to get results and taking on special interests to lower costs – it’s why I’m ranked one of the most bipartisan, independent, and effective members of the Senate," said Rosen in a statement released following her victory.
Sam Brown, meanwhile, has won the Republican nomination for the Senate seat currently occupied by Rosen.
Brown, a retired Army captain making his second try in two years for the U.S. Senate, emerged from a field of 12 Republicans to challenge Rosen.
Brown held a decisive fundraising edge throughout the campaign and received a late endorsement from former President Donald Trump on Sunday.
Mark Amodei has been declared the winner of the Republican nomination for the U.S. House for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District as well. His district includes most of Lyon County and all of Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Pershing, Storey, Washoe and White Pine counties, as well as Carson City.
The AP is also reporting that Steven Horsford has won the Democratic nomination for Nevada's 4th Congressional District, which includes most of northern Clark County, southern Lyon County, most of Lincoln County, a sliver of Churchill County, and all of Esmeralda, Mineral, and Nye counties.
Susie Lee has been declared the victor of the Democratic nomination for Nevada's 3rd Congressional District by the AP.
“I am honored to have the trust and confidence of southern Nevada families and look forward to winning reelection to continue the fight for our fundamental rights and a strong future," said Lee in a statement.
Her district includes the area south of Las Vegas, including Henderson, Boulder City, and much of unincorporated Clark County.
