In 2018, Kamala Harris became the first national candidate to endorse Attorney General Aaron Ford. Since then, they have developed a strong working relationship.

"Well, you see, I can't stop smiling, and every time I get asked questions about the times we're in, I smile about the fact that I know Kamala Harris is going to be our next president," said (D-NV) Attorney General Ford.

Ford recalls the first time he met Kamala Harris. They sat down for a meeting at the MGM in Las Vegas to discuss the importance of his role.

"At the end of the conversation, she was gracious enough to endorse my campaign and be a mentor for the years to follow. I accept and support her, and again, I am delighted that we will have her as our president of the United States of America," said Attorney General Ford.

Republicans have criticized the Democratic National Convention for passing the baton to Kamala Harris without her ever winning a delegate. They argue that 14 million people voted for President Joe Biden in the 2024 primary.

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. criticized the Democratic National Committee, claiming unfair primaries and refusal to hold debates.

However, in 2000, the Democratic Party did a similar handoff when President Bill Clinton nominated Vice President Al Gore.

"She's definitely earned it. They try to use DEI in the pejorative sense. Still, the truth is, she has definitely earned it: going from being a DA in a county, to becoming an attorney general, to becoming a U.S. senator, to becoming the vice president of our country, she has earned the accolades," said Ford.

And to be sure, Attorney General Ford will be steadfast in Kamala Harris's corner.

"In a country that is as diverse as ours, I am frankly most moved by the fact that she shows the respect and the dignity that anyone living in this country deserves," said Ford.
