Thursday night's debate broke historical precedent in many ways.

Being the earliest debate in a presidential race, it holds significant potential for changes before the RNC and DNC nomination conventions in August.

Notably, the Biden-Harris state campaign took an active role by hosting a watch party for the first presidential debate at the Washoe County Democratic Party headquarters in Reno.

"He answered the questions, hit the top lines, and told the story of what this administration has done to improve the lives of American families. He has told what life was like under Donald Trump," said Daniel Corona, Nevada Democratic State Party Vice Chair.

"He said the right things, and he certainly had more substance," said Biden supporter Melanie Peck.

Biden supporters were vocal about their belief that Trump spent a considerable amount of the debate evading questions.

"Some of the commentators asked President Trump what about this question. He still didn't answer the questions," said Biden Campaign Precinct Leader Sherrell Collins.

The local Trump Campaign's watch party was closed to the press, but we connected with Trump 2024 Deputy Director of Communications Caroline Sunshine.

"Joe Biden was just barely keeping up and, you know, sleepwalking through 90 minutes of, I'm not quite sure what we all just watched," said Trump 2024 Deputy Director of Communications Caroline Sunshine.

The Trump campaign is hammering on the inadequacies they see in Biden's performance.

"That performance was downright frightening for the American people; I think the American people walked away from that debate performance wishing the election was tomorrow to cast their vote to get this man out of office," said Sunshine.

In sparks, volunteers and supporters of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. held an alternative debate because Kennedy was blocked from the CNN debate.

The candidate responded to the CNN moderator's real-time questions with the same debate time restrictions and rules.

We interviewed RFK Jr. supporters to gather their thoughts on the campaign's innovative approach to gaining exposure for the candidate despite his absence from the debate stage.

"I'm very impressed with them being able to get him on Elon Musk's X. It's been really cool to watch. There will already be over 1.6 million viewers, and to think there are maybe 20 people in that room with us, that's one view on that video," said RFK Jr. volunteer and retired Army veteran Hannah Williams.

"It shows that he's going to roll with the punches and do whatever it takes," said RFK Jr. supporter Chris Taylor, "Ok, what's the answer? Let's use this alternative form of media; let's let people hear my voice."
