Update, July 9th at 3:52 p.m.:
In a statement the Washoe County District Attorney's office said, "We are not actually the point of contact for this. We stand by the guidance given by Assistant District Attorney Edwards during the public meeting today.
"Beyond that, you should reach out to County Management, the Registrar of Voters, or the Secretary of State’s Office, for any further questions about the decision or its implications."
Original Story, July 9th at 2:30 p.m.,
On Tuesday, July 9th the Declaration of Canvass of the Recount Vote was not certified by the Washoe County Commissions office in a vote of 3-2.
The recount was done for two specific races: Republican Primary County Commission District 4 and the Washoe County School Board Trustee District G At Large Seat.
Commissioner Clara Andriola before the vote said she believed concerns shared about the recount deserved further investigation.
"I just want especially the interim Registrar of Voters especially all the staff," said Washoe County Commissioner Clara Andriola. "Especially all the voters to know that my vote against certifying this is not against anything you all did it's really to look at the investigative part of the allegations that in this case one has formally been filed. "
The Register's Office has deferred comment to the Secretary of State and the District Attorney's office.
We have reached out to the Secretary of State and are awaiting their response.
This is a developing story, we will update you as details become available.
