The Diocese of Reno says out of caution, they have decided to implement distance learning for its Catholic schools as of Monday, March 16.
They say school is scheduled to resume on Monday, March 30 after the Catholic school district’s scheduled one-week spring break.
The Diocese of Reno says at this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their schools.
They say in making this decision, the diocese considered recommendations from the CDC, state and local authorities and responses from both public and private schools around that nation.
The Diocese of Reno says this closure brings the Catholic school calendar in line with the scheduled two-week Washoe County School District spring break.
