Arkansas has hired Nevada's Eric Musselman as its next men's basketball coach. Razorbacks athletic director Hunter Yurachek announced Musselman's hiring Sunday on Twitter.

An official announcement was made early Monday afternoon in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Arkansas director of Athletics, Hunter Yuracheck shared enthusiasm in the hiring of Musselman and shared an image of himself along with the Musselman family.

University of Nevada, Reno President Marc Johnson released this statement:
"Coach Eric Musselman, Danyelle and his family made a positive impact on the Wolf Pack Men’s Basketball program. They lit a spark on campus and within the community spurring historic levels of support and recognition. We sincerely wish them well in their next endeavor."
Doug Knuth, Nevada Athletics Director, shared a thank you to Musselman on his four year with Nevada Wolf Pack Basketball.
“I want to thank Eric Musselman for four thrilling seasons with the Wolf Pack and for elevating the Nevada men’s basketball program to the top of the Mountain West Conference. We wish Eric and Danyelle nothing but the best moving forward." said Knuth.
Knuth also commented briefly on the search for a new head coach.
"We will immediately begin a national search for the next leader of the Wolf Pack men’s basketball program and will have no further comment until that search is completed.” said Knuth
Early last week there were rumors of Musselman as a prospect for head coach at Arkansas.
Jeff Goodman, a basketball analyst at Stadium, tweeted about the negotiations Arkansas was having with Musselman and summed up his tweet about the successful coach with confirmation of Musselman as the next head coach for the Razorbacks.
CBS Sports insider Gary Parrish was also in the online conversation about the esteemed coach's finalization with Arkansas tweeting that the conversations between Musselman and Arkansas began early last week but did not advance as far a most rumors suggested, however he will now be the head coach of the Razorbacks after four years with the Wolf Pack.
