Sugar Bowl Resort

Sugar Bowl Resort kicked off winter with a busy weekend, drawing people to its first turns and tube slides of the season under clear skies.

According to Sugar Bowl Resort, in an online post, the resort opened limited terrain on December 5 with help from snowmaking crews and said it plans to pause operations through Friday while watching conditions for a possible reopening next weekend.

The resort said its snowmaking team moved quickly once temperatures dropped and created enough coverage to open Sugar Rush Tubing, plus the Flume carpet and White Pine lifts, for the first weekend of the season.

Resort staff said they expect to share more information on next weekend’s operations later this week.
