Caltrans is reminding motorists of various lane and ramp closures in multiple locations along Interstate 80 as several projects continue in Placer and Nevada counties.
Here is the breakdown for delays and closures next week:
Eastbound I-80
Blue Canyon Pavement Rehabilitation Project
- between Applegate and Weimar Cross Road, various lane and ramp closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, June 28 through Thursday, July 2.
Alta Pavement Improvement Project
- Between Colfax and Magra, various lane and ramp closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28 to 6 a.m. Monday, June 29 and from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, June 29 through Thursday, July 2.
- The off-ramp to State Route 174 in Colfax is scheduled to be closed from 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28 to 6 a.m. Monday, June 29 and from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, June 29 through Thursday, July 2.
Monte Vista Pavement Rehabilitation Project
- Between Monte Vista and Drum Forebay, various lane and ramp closures are scheduled around the clock from 6 a.m. Monday, June 29 through 4 a.m. Thursday, July 2.
- Crystal Springs on- and off-ramps are closed until further notice. Motorists will detour eastbound to Baxter and return westbound on I-80 to Crystal Springs.
- Drum Forebay on- and off-ramps are closed until further notice. Motorists will detour eastbound to the next available exit and return westbound on I-80 to Drum Forebay.
Motorists will experience delays with each project. If traveling across the entire corridor, the cumulative delay may reach up to 2 hours depending on traffic volumes.
