The fourth annual Carpe Diem Fishing Derby took place today at the Rosewood Nature Study Area on Saturday.

The first 160 children received free fishing poles in a partnership with Scheels.

There were prizes for the most carp caught in both adult and children's categories, as well as trophies for the longest, heaviest, and shortest carp.

The money raised from the event helps fund habitat restoration, community programs, and environmental education at the Rosewood Nature Study Area.
