One person is dead after a car hit a person on Red Rock Road.
Around 5 a.m. on Friday, the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded to a crash on Red Rock Road north of Moya Boulevard.
A car was traveling southbound and hit a person who was walking in the road.
The person was not using the sidewalk, which was about 15 feet from the road.
Impairment and speed are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The Reno Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash, and the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
The road was closed or restricted to one lane from about 5 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Friday and has since reopened.
