Train Engines Tilt After Derailment in Plumas County, California

An investigation is underway into what caused two Burlington Northern Santa Fe engines to tilt after derailing in Greenville in Plumas County, California.

The engines tilted after Monday's derailment near Forgay Road, reports the Indian Valley Record. The BNSF engines were pushing a pair of cargo containers when the derailment happened. The newspaper says the train was headed southeast out of Greenville when the accident happened.

The newspaper says BNSF doesn't know when the scene will be cleared, and when the railroad will reopen to traffic.

No injuries were reported in the derailment.
