The Truckee Fire Protection District is banning all outdoor fires until the end of fire season.
The ban encompasses the district and includes much of Truckee and includes a ban on outdoor wood-burning fires including campfires, bonfires and outdoor fire pits.
There are exceptions for campfires on designated campground and gas outdoor fire places.
