Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says crews have stopped forward progress of the Blackfoot Fire that burned near Blackfoot Way and North Virginia Street.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
They say the fire burned 8.5 acres.
No structures were lost.
