Truckee Police and FBI Arrest Bank Robbery Suspects

Truckee Police Department says that two suspects have been arrested for robbing a bank.

On Saturday, December 3, 2016 Truckee Police say they responded to a possible bank robbery at the Bank of America on Donner Pass Rd. in Truckee. Officers say that at approximately 10 am, the bank had been robbed at gunpoint by an unidentified white male suspect. They say the suspect entered the bank, showed a handgun and ordered employees to place an undisclosed amount of money in a bag.  Police say he fled the scene before they arrived.

Truckee Police Detectives say they began working with the FBI on an investigation where they learned the possible identity of the suspect. They say Alex Frasier, a 19-year-old from Reno was believed to be co-conspiring with bank employee, Grant Schaeffer a 20-year-old from Reno. Truckee Police Detectives say they interviewed Schaeffer and then arrested him at the bank where he was then booked into the Nevada County Jail in Truckee for Robbery and Conspiracy, which are both felonies, on Saturday, December 3.

FBI Special Agents and Redding Police Officers say they were able to locate and arrest Frasier in the Redding area on Monday, December 5. Frasier was charged with Robbery and Conspiracy and will be transported back to Nevada County where he will await prosecution.Â
