Parents are invited to preview the new SHARE curriculum for high school students on Wednesday night.
The 6 p.m. event will be held inside the Pine Middle School Cafeteria located at 4800 Neil Road in Reno.
The Washoe County School District (WCSD) SHARE Advisory Committee encourages parents of students in grades 8 through 12 to preview the high school materials that will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval. These materials include plans that outline lessons about making informed decisions about sexual activity and relationships, HIV/AIDS, gender identity, and reproductive issues.
The event is not a meeting and there will be presentation. Staff members will be available to answer questions and provide guidance.
Parents who are unable to attend may also preview the materials online here and provide input via a survey on the same page.
