The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says one of its lieutenants retired on Tuesday.
Officials said Lieutenant Bill Ames retired after 25 years of service. They said he received a Life Saving Medal today for saving a child's life this year.
Washoe County Sheriff's Office said Sergeant Sean Wallace and Sergeant Jack Buell also received plaques and certificates for their 25 years of service as well. Officials said the two have known each other since kindergarten.
