Woman Taken to Health Center After Rescue Operation in Prison Hill Area

Carson City deputies say a woman was taken to a health center for a mental evaluation after a 'rescue operation' in the Prison Hill area on Tuesday. 

Deputies say the woman had weapons and threatened to kill herself and responding officers, but deputies were eventually allowed to get close enough to talk to her. She dropped the weapon and they took her to Mallory Behavioral Health Crisis Center.

The incident started after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday near Synder Avenue.
