Our area air quality is finally in the 'Good' range.
A red flag warning remains in effect until 11:00 p.m. tonight for northwest Nevada and northeastern California for gusty winds up to 35 and 40 miles per hour and relative humidity 10-15%. A lake wind advisory is in effect for Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake until 8:00 p.m. tonight.
A dense smoke advisory also remains in effect for the region until 11:00 p.m. from smoke blowing into the area from the King Fire in El Dorado County.
Wind advisories are also in effect in the east central and south central portion of the state including the cities of Fallon, Lovelock, Austin, Tonopah and Winnemucca for southeast winds 25 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph.
Expect some haze in the valley on Thursday. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s in Reno and Carson City in the afternoon with mostly mid-60s around Lake Tahoe. A chance of showers is in the forecast through the weekend as low pressure moves through the west coast bringing temps down into the 60s by the weekend.
