A crash on I-80 in Truckee on Wednesday morning resulted in the death of a big rig driver.
It happened around 9:20 a.m. on eastbound I-80 near the junction with southbound State Route 89 east of Donner Lake, according to our CBS affiliate in Sacramento.
Authorities say the big rig went off the road and crashed into a fence, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash was still causing traffic backups as of Wednesday afternoon.
The cause is under investigation.
