UPDATE: The Reno Fire Department said the cause of the fire on February 5 at Delucchi Lane is undetermined.
They said they could not determine how the fire started amid all the damage.
Authorities are investigating an apartment fire in south Reno. Delucchi Lane is currently closed at Neil Road for emergency crews.
The fire was first reported just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Fire crews say four units were damaged, although a total of eight units are displaced.
Firefighters say the fire spread quickly, but they were able to save 40 units.
Four units sustained significant damage.
Authorities are currently calling the fire suspicious because it spread so quickly, but they stress the rapid fire spread may be due to a mechanical issue.
One minor injury was reported.
