This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their excess candy to Brosy Family Dentistry and receive $1 per pound.
Candy will be collected at Brosy Family Dentistry, 175 Cadillac Place in Reno on November 4-7 during regular working hours. Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound, up to 10 pounds, for all unopened, uneaten candy.
Dr. Lynn Brosy says people come in to get candies like Tootsie Rolls removed from their teeth. But she says sour candies are the worst for you. Â
"Those acids in sour candy can really cause cavities so we want to decrease those a little. Chocolate is ok as long as you brush and floss after you eat it."
The collected candy will be shipped to Operation Gratitude which sends care packages to our military troops deployed in hostile regions. For more information go to www.operationgratitude.com
