Lyon County Deputies say a 3-year-old girl found walking along Highway 50 early Thursday morning just wanted to go to the park.
Lyon County Deputies in the Dayton Patrol Area say they found the girl walking near Six Mile Canyon Road at approximately 3:30 a.m.
After searching for the girl’s residence for about two hours, deputies say they learned the mother was at the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office in Dayton looking for her child.
Deputies say after the two were reunited, a deputy and member of the Department of Child and Family Services went to the home and found no criminal activity that led to the girl getting out of the house.
They say the girl wanted to go to the park so she unlocked the door and left the home.
Deputies say the mother will not be charged.
