The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles says all of their offices will be closed over Thanksgiving and the Sahara office in Las Vegas is moving.

CARSON CITY – The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is urging customers to use online services and the DMV’s appointment system to help cut down on lines in the offices during upcoming closures.
All department offices will be closed over the four-days Thanksgiving holiday weekend from Thursday, November 24 through Sunday, November 27. The Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving are traditionally the busiest days of the year at the DMV.
Additionally, no services will be offered at the Sahara location in Las Vegas for two weeks as the DMV completes its move to the new facility there. The old Sahara office at 2701 E. Sahara will close Saturday, December 3. The new Sahara office next door at 2621 E. Sahara will open Monday, December 19.
“Check our online services first,” said DMV Director Terri L. Albertson. “If you have to come in to an office, make an appointment. The appointment system we introduced earlier this year is working very well.” Appointments can be made at dmvnv.com/dashpass.
