Douglas County Deputies say three jet skiers were rescued Monday afternoon off the shore of Nevada Beach.
Deputies say the newly launched boat ‘Marine 7’ was on routine patrol when authorities noticed a jet ski stopped about a 1/8 of mile off the shore, and heard a call for help.
Deputies found three people, ages 13-31, who had crashed their jet ski, and lost the key. They say all three males were nearly hypothermic, and that the 13-year-old complained of neck pain from the crash.
The three people were taken to shore, and later transported to Barton Memorial Hospital. They say all three were wearing personal flotation devices and it was determined that they had been in the water for about 25 minutes.
Marine 7 towed the disabled jet ski to shore.
