The Federal Aviation Administration has finished certification test flights on the 737 MAX.Â
The FAA says there were no apparent issues, though they still have to analyze all the data collected during the flights.
The move marks an important step in the process to re-certify the 737 MAX for passenger flights.
The plane has been grounded since march 2019 after two fatal crashes that killed 346 people.
The plane cannot return to service until it receives final approval from the FAA.
Officials say the completion of test flights is an important milestone, but there are still more steps before the aircraft can fly passengers again.
