The sound of clinking glasses, upbeat voices, and clattering bingo balls fills a café off Los Altos Parkway every Tuesday morning. One dining room in particular is packed with seniors, who come as strangers, but leave as friends.

Sonia Pasinski started the Los Altos Café Get-Together in December 2024, and it's since evolved into the weekly Sonia's Breakfast Club.

"A lot of seniors are lonely," she told 2 News Nevada Tuesday morning, while attendees bent over bingo cards with quiet concentration. "They're either widowed, or they don't know anybody, or they're new to the area, and I just wanted to do something that would make a difference."

In its inaugural meeting, the club brought over 50 seniors to the Los Altos Breakfast and Lunch.

It's become so popular, local businesses have started donating prizes for raffles and bingo winners, and Pasinski has started asking that attendees RSVP so that she can get a head-count and ensure everyone has a seat.

Pasinski's husband, Eugene, says she's always had a knack for bringing people to the table.

"She's a very beautiful person. She's very caring. She's giving of herself to other people - to everybody," he said.

If you'd like to attend Sonia's Breakfast Club, Pasinski says you can call or text her directly to RSVP, 775-200-8588.
