Open Burning Prohibited; Fire Threat Remains High

North Tahoe Fire and Meeks Bay Fire crews say they fought two small fires on Forest Service and state lands on Tuesday. 

Crews fought a small tree fire at Alpine and simultaneously, a small vegetation fire at Sugar Pine State Park. 

Authorities say there's no threats to structures or property. 

USFS and CAL FIRE resources remain on scene to make sure there are no remaining hot spots.

They ask the public to remain vigilant in reporting any smoke following thunderstorms this week.
