Reno firefighters taught local elementary school students Tuesday about the importance of reading.
Reno Fire Chief Michael Hernandez read "Curious George at the Fire Station" to students at Jesse Beck Elementary as part of Nevada Reading Week.
The students also got to learn about fire safety and get some hands-on experience with firefighting equipment.
Jesse Beck is one of several schools being visited by firefighters this month.
