Reno firefighters responded to a small blaze on Sinclair Street.

The fire broke out just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

Officials say a mattress caught fire on the second floor of the City Center Apartments, setting off sprinklers and causing smoke and water damage.

Residents were evacuated from the building but, at the time of this report, have safely returned. 

Fire officials say nobody was hurt.
