The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate has died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Authorities say Eric Brown died Thursday while in the Regional Medical Facility at the center. He died of an undisclosed chronic medical condition.
The 70-year-old committed from Clark County was serving 48 to 120 months for abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child.
Brown had been incarcerated with the NDOC since September 2011.
An autopsy will be conducted, and next of kin were notified.
