A judge has ruled that Nevada's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) is no longer held in contempt of court for not paying some claimants their entitled PUA funds.

Judge Barry Breslow heard testimony from three people, who were looking to hold DETR in contempt of court for not paying some claimants their Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits.

Earlier this month, claimants said their PUA benefits suddenly stopped without explanation.

The judge ruled that DETR is not in contempt of court because it's following a court order which was given out earlier this year. He adds that the court could take another look at this case depending on new updates which come up in the new year.

In a statement, DETR officials wrote: "By the December 24th deadline, DETR demonstrated compliance ?by resuming payments for claimants meeting the narrow criteria in the Court's order.  Specifically, the court ordered DETR to resume payments on a limited set of claims that had been stopped previously."
