Gunman in shooting at an industrial supply company in Fernley has been identified.
According to Lyon County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Michael Carlson, the shooting happened at MSC Industrial Supply on the 2300-block of East Newlands Road Thursday evening.Â
Sheriff deputies immediately responded along with members of the Nevada Highway Patrol and the North Lyon County Fire Protection District.Â
Carlson says the gunman has been identified as David Wayne Frees, a 50-year-old from Fernley. Frees was pronounced dead on the scene as a result from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities say the victim, who has not been identified, was hospitalized with gunshot wounds, but is expected to fully recover from injuries.Â
LCSO said this domestic violence incidence is isolated and is posing no threat to the public.
