Life Saving Equipment Donated to Carson City First Responders

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donates more than $47,000 in life-saving life-saving equipment grants to Carson City first responders.

On Thursday, December 8, first responders from Carson City, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Senior Manager of Foundation Programs Jackie Gubbins, Firehouse Subs Director of Corporate Communications Scott Schalk, Firehouse Subs Area Representative Scott Kinner and Firehouse Subs Franchisees Patrick Lindsay and Damon Kreizenbeck.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation awarded Carson City Fire Department with an ambulance chassis worth $46,451 and Carson City Sheriff’s Office received an automated external defibrillator (AED) worth $1,300 as a part of the Foundation’s 1,000 AED Gift Campaign, commemorating Firehouse Subs’ 1000th restaurant opening.

"Basically, we have a brand new ambulance for less than half of what it costs to purchase one," said Bob Schreihans, Carson City Fire Chief.

Firehouse Subs says the vehicle will help ensure the department is able to quickly respond to emergencies and provide medical assistance throughout the community.
