Lyon County deputies say they have arrested a Maryland man in connection with shots being fired at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Fernley on Tuesday.Â
Deputies say when they arrived on scene they found several shell casings in the parking lot and numerous bullet holes on the outside of the hotel including broken windows.Â
They also found a white van nearby, and when they spoke with the driver, they say the suspect, 29-year-old Joshua Graham drove off, with deputies pursuing the car to Mesa Drive where they stopped it and arrested Graham.Â
A subsequent search warrant was issued where deputies say they found a handgun inside the van.Â
Deputies say a search revealed shell casings and one bullet in the parking lot. They say four expended bullets were recovered from inside various hotel rooms.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.Â
Although some of the hotel rooms were rented out, none of them were occupied when the shooting took place.
Joshua was charged with Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Structure, a felony. His bail was set at $ 5,000.
