The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says a man was arrested by the Regional Sex Offender Notification Unit (RSONU) for non-compliance.
Officials say 20-year-old Caleb Tau-Tolliver is charged with failing to check in with a local law enforcement agency, and failing to submit his annual verification -- both felonies.
Tau-Tolliver is a Tier III sex offender previously convicted for crimes against children.
Currently, there are about 1,400 registered sex offenders in the Reno, Sparks and Washoe County area. Each of the three RSONU investigators are assigned over 400 offenders to monitor.
The RSONU is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding holiday and can be reached at (775) 325-6483.
